Chemdog cannabis seeds by Green House Seed are an indica marijuana strain with a pungent chemical aroma, a cross of OG Kush x Sour Diesel. An interesting fact about Chemdog genetics: people often wonder whether Chemdawg and Chemdog are the same genotype or different one? The difference is that Green House Chemdog inherits Chemdawg genetics through the Sour Diesel line, and along with it, also genes Skunk, Northern Lights and Diesel. Therefore, the two varieties are related, but not identical. Green House’s Chemdog descends from landraces of Afghanistan, Mexico, Colombia, Hawaii.
Both parents and all ancestors of this genotype are known for their stress resistance and strong immune system. For a long time, the old-school cannabis strain Chemdog existed exclusively as an elite clone, but feminized seeds have been available for over a decade. The terpene profile is dominated by pinene, humulene, and caryophyllene, creating a pine-fruity aroma with notes of gasoline, burnt wood, and sandalwood. This branchy and incredibly resinous strain did not go unnoticed: II place at 420 Growers Cup 2008 cemented its status as a cult classic.
Chemdog cannabis seeds were planted in small 0.5-liter seedling containers at the seedling stage, and as the root system developed, they were successively transplanted into larger containers. Ultimately, for full development, pots of 15-20 liters or 30-40 liters were used, depending on the desired size. During the vegetative stage, the plant actively developed its root system and formed a branched structure with long internodes. ScroG and SoG methods were effectively used to control the plant’s architecture, helping to limit the height of the plants and create an even carpet of inflorescences. The plants also responded well to pruning, FIM, and supercropping, quickly recovering from training and actively developing lateral shoots.
As flowering progressed, the scent developed citrus notes. The flowers quickly formed dense clusters, and from mid-flowering onward, the resin and essential oil concentrations increased, revealing a musky and ammoniacal aroma. Indoors, the flowering phase lasted exactly nine weeks, with final yields reaching an impressive 800 g/m². Outdoors, the plants grew to a height of 150-170 cm, yielding up to 1,000 g per plant, fully mature by late September/early October.
