Appearance of Jamaica Sativa cannabis
During seed production, Jamaica Sativa required separate grow rooms designed for its impressive height. Of course, this feature was mitigated with training—without training, the plant would reach a height of 300-350 cm, but thanks to pruning and other methods of controlling vertical growth, its size was reduced to 200 cm. However, these bushes were significantly larger in width, which ultimately increased their weight. A surprisingly undemanding variety! Marley Seedbank breeders tested the strain in different types of soil and substrates, in greenhouse conditions and hydroponic installations – no limitations were found. Defoliation of the large and dense crown of Jamaican Sativa was often necessary.
During flowering, the bushes became fluffy, increasing in volume by almost one and a half times, their aroma first acquired notes of tropical fruits, and closer to ripening, threatening overtones reminiscent of a slightly sweeter version of Skunk or, say, Diesel. Powerful immunity to insect parasites and mold/rot/fungal diseases protected the crop from any problems. Despite its generally slender structure (characteristic of sativa), the stem of this plant resembled bamboo: strong and thick. A healthy root system provided the “tree” with nutrients and water. The rich green color contrasted beautifully with the red and brown hairs, as well as the shiny crystals on the tops and “sugar” leaves. Depending on the soil composition, the ripening bushes could take on a reddish color – a trademark feature of Jamaican marijuana, well known to connoisseurs.
