Gorilla Girl F1 Fast Version is a photoperiod cannabis strain, a so-called fast-flowering feminized variety developed by the Spanish seed bank Sweet Seeds. It is distinguished by its considerable weight, unpretentiousness, and visual beauty. The influence of Blueberry genetics has given the flowers and leaves a purple color. Photoperiod fast versions have an accelerated flowering cycle, while retaining all the advantages of classic photoperiod strains. This is the result of many years of breeding work to create a heavy, premium-class cannabis with a rich terpene profile. Country of origin: Spain.
The genetic line originates from crossing the powerful Gorilla Glue with the fragrant Girl Scout Cookies. Thus, the genotype includes landraces from Afghanistan, Thailand, and Colombia, which is partly responsible for its stability and rich aroma. Multi-stage selection using modern methods has made it possible to create a stable phenotype. The flowering period was reduced by 1-2 weeks with the help of Sweet Gelato Auto. The compact, sturdy strain branched well, and the dense buds were covered with a thick layer of trichomes. It demonstrated good resistance to mold, insects, and adverse climatic factors. The aroma of the inflorescences is rich, with a predominance of citrus, berry, and coniferous tones. The complex terpene bouquet includes myrcene, caryophyllene, and limonene. The seeds are large, elongated, matte in color with characteristic stripes.
The seeds germinated in 2-4 days and were grown in soil and coconut fiber in 15-30 liter containers. The optimal density for indoor cultivation was 2 plants per m2, and for outdoor cultivation, 1 plant per m2. The strain tolerated transplanting without damage. The hydroponics and aeroponics methods yielded impressive results. During the vegetative stage, the bushes formed a compact, well-branched structure. The stems were thick and strong. The leaves were broad, rich green in color, with internodes of 5-7 cm, reaching a height of up to 130 cm indoors and up to 250 cm in open ground. Growth was intense (mostly 5-7 cm per week).
During selection, the following training methods were used: LST, mainlining, topping, supercropping, defoliation, ScroG, and SoG. The Low-Stress Training (LST) method allowed the plant to be formed in a horizontal plane for better light penetration. Defoliation of the leaves improved ventilation and lighting of the buds. The variety was ideal for regions with hot, dry, and sunny climates. The optimal temperature was 22-28°C. The bushes were highly resistant to drought, heat, precipitation, and mold. Non-toxic antifungal agents were used for prevention.
The flowering period was 49 days from the transition to 12/12. The buds were large, dense, with a large number of resin glands. The trichomes turned orange in the final stage. The stigmas were thick, reddish-orange. The ratio of cups to leaves was 70/30. Indoors, it weighed up to 400-550 g/m2 without leaves, outdoors up to 600 g per plant. In the Southern Hemisphere, the ripening period was in May, in the Northern Hemisphere – in September.
