Auto Wedding Cake cannabis seeds are a hybrid marijuana variety (65% sativa) with a creamy berry aroma and partially purple inflorescences, a cross of Triangle Kush x Animal Mints. Its lineage includes such iconic varieties as Blueberry, Hindu Kush, NYC Diesel, Girl Scout Cookies, and Bubblegum. Such genetics provide an extensive “origin map”: Hawaii and Africa, Afghanistan, Thailand and Mexico. Thanks to such a large gene pool, Auto Wedding Cake is hardy and adaptable, demonstrating strong immunity.
Wedding Cake was a compact yet lush plant with short internodes and frosty-textured buds covered in a shimmering carpet of resinous trichomes. The terpene profile is dominated by caryophyllene, myrcene, limonene, and linalool, producing the signature aroma of creamy cake with wild berries and orange slices. This strain has won a number of awards, including Strain of the Year according to Leafly (2019), Best Indica at the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, Best Hybrid Flower at the SoCal High Times Medical Cannabis Cup (2018), and more.
Auto Wedding Cake seeds were taken from undemanding plants that demonstrated remarkable resistance to pests, fungi, and mold. They reached a height of approximately 70-90 cm indoors, and up to 120 cm indoors. Seedlings were placed in 15-20 L pots with loose, moderately acidic soil (pH 6.0-6.5). The substrate mixture typically consisted of 40% high-moor peat, 30% coconut fiber, and 30% perlite or vermiculite. The addition of mycorrhizae in the early stages accelerated root development. Auto Wedding Cake also adapted well to hydroponic systems. Powerful full-spectrum LED panels were installed in the growbox. During the growing season, a temperature of 24-26°C, humidity of 60-70%, and active air circulation were maintained. The cannabis plant grew thick, bright green, sativa-type foliage and formed a strong central stem.
Given the specific nature of autoflowering strains, only low-stress training was used (mainly ScroG, sometimes LST). The buds formed in dense clusters, forming elongated, conical colas. During flowering, the strain began to emit a sweet, fruity, creamy aroma against an earthy base. By the 9th to 10th week, the tops became monolithic, with an abundance of large, resinous trichomes, which were in record numbers even on sugar leaves. Toward the end, as nighttime temperatures dropped, pinkish flecks could appear, and the aroma became more intense, with deep vanilla-creamy notes. Outdoors, the cannabis matured in first weeks of September.
