The Jack 47 F1 Fast Version cannabis strain is a cutting-edge achievement in breeding by the Spanish seed bank Sweet Seeds, featuring exclusive genetics of varietal marijuana. Photoperiod fast versions are distinguished by a flowering cycle that is shortened by 1-2 weeks, allowing breeders to obtain new batches of seeds faster. The stunning sweet and sour tropical aroma is due to competent breeding and the predominance of sativa in the genotype (75%). Fast was created in Spain in the 2010s, when Sweet Seeds breeders crossed the powerful sativa Jack 47 with an autoflowering strain based on it (Jack 47 Auto). The derivative genotype is a combination of such legendary strains as Jack Herer and AK-47, resulting in a complex pedigree: Shiva Skunk, Northern Lights, Haze, Hawaiian and Afghan landraces, Acapulco Gold, and Colombian Gold.
Through careful selection, Jack 47 Fast Version has been significantly improved: high resistance to mold, diseases, and insects, competitive mass, tolerance to arid climates and temperature fluctuations. A rich aroma with notes of pineapple, citrus, pine, and ginger — where does such luxury come from? The composition of myrcene, linalool, pinene, and limonene creates the richest bouquet!
The collectible seeds are oval in shape, large in size, and dark brown in color with characteristic light stripes and a marbled pattern.
Jack 47 F1 Fast Version seeds germinated in 3-5 days. The plants were planted in 20-40 liter containers. The optimal planting density indoors was 2 plants per 1 m2, and 1 plant outdoors. During selection, it tolerated transplanting well and thrived in hydroponics/aeroponics systems. During the vegetative stage, an elongated structure with a strong central stem was formed. The leaves were oblong, dark green, with a glossy surface, and internodes of 5-8 cm. Indoors, the plants rarely exceeded 165 cm in height, and outdoors, they reached up to 350 cm. Vegetative growth was vigorous.
The flowering period of Jack 47 F1 Fast Version lasted 45-50 days. The buds developed densely, resinous, covered with a thick layer of trichomes. As they ripened, the stigmas took on a rich orange-red hue. The ratio of flower mass to leaves was significantly in favor of the inflorescences. The final weight in indoor cultivation was 500 g/m2, and outdoors — up to 600 g per plant. The outdoor ripening period was in late September — early October.
The best methods during selection were LST, defoliation, and ScroG and SoG techniques. These methods allowed for the formation of a compact bush structure with numerous side shoots and inflorescences. Outdoors, it thrived best in a warm, sunny climate with temperatures between 20 and 30°C. It was resistant to drought and heat but required protection from excessive moisture and mold. It was found to be susceptible to fungal diseases and spider mites, but aphids and thrips did not threaten the crop due to the intensive production of resins.
