Colombian Gold feminized marijuana seeds originate from the foothills of Santa Marta, near the Sierra Nevada mountain range. This area is known for its rich black soil and wide variety of flora. In addition, Colombian cannabis breeding traditions have deep roots in antiquity—Colombian Gold was obtained by crossing genotypes that local experts have been working on for a long time.
In fact, the strain was obtained by crossing two sativas (one of which became the ancestor of Acapulco Gold) and is highly valued in the United States. Its unique properties include a golden hue during the ripening stage, sweet orange notes in the aroma, and a typically tropical appearance. Spanish breeding offers Colombian Gold cannabis seeds at a reasonable price, but the material is 100% original, there is simply no markup for a well-known brand;)
Watching the development of future Colombian Gold mother plants inspired optimism. Surprisingly, this native of the tropics was able to adapt to indoor conditions (in soil, substrate, hydroponics), as well as to the European outdoors and the microclimate of greenhouses and hotbeds! It is not surprising that this variety is among the ancestors of the Skunk, known for its remarkable unpretentiousness. The end of the growing season looked like this: slender, graceful bushes with a moderately lush crown consisting of narrow leaves, releasing white hairs in the internodes – a striking contrast to their rich color.
Then, over the course of 1-2 weeks, the plants continued to grow (incidentally, this growth spurt is less pronounced in Columbian Gold) and formed their first buds. Subsequently, flowering allowed us to admire the spread of fragrant and dense floral growth—as if the bushes were overgrown with thick green “dreadlocks”! By the way, thanks to a small proportion of indica, the strain was also branchy, so that in the final stages of ripening, the parent plants reached a mass of up to 750 g (excluding the stem, roots, and leaves).
