The accelerated development and maturation of this strain, indicated by the word “fast” in its name, is the result of painstaking theoretical calculations and lengthy selective work by breeders who crossed different Bruce Banner phenotypes in an effort to create a rare combination of early maturity and large, succulent plants with high yields.
The resulting Bruce Banner Fest genotype produces an impressive amount of resin and has a strong characteristic aroma—musk, pine needles, often garlic notes, and a hint of fruit. The strain traces its roots back to such titans of cannabis history as OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel.
Appearance of Bruce Banner Fast
A healthy and resilient root system allowed Bruce Banner Fast’s parent plants to easily adapt to any type of soil (including hydro and aeroponic environments), while its mixed genetic background gave the strain resistance to both cool summers and hot weather conditions. These sturdy plants went through a vigorous vegetation period, vigorously developing new pairs of leaves, increasing the thickness and length of their stems, and strengthening their shoots. By the beginning of flowering, the Bruce Banner Fast mother plants were true “athletes” – dense, branched, with moderately lush foliage.
The appearance of the first hairs and buds was accompanied by a two-week burst of active growth—the bushes quickly made up for the missing centimeters. Despite the clear predominance of indica in the genotype (quite obvious when looking at the stocky structure), the parent plants also bore clear signs of sativa genetics – slightly narrowed leaves and inflorescences, exotic bud shape, and playful nuances in the aroma.
