This marijuana strain was bred based on the classic genetics of OG Kush and Hindu Kush. What is unusual about it? The fact is that in breeding, different varieties are usually crossed to obtain a new product, but here, related varieties are used.
In the case of Auto OG Indica, Divine Seeds took an innovative approach: specially programmed AI analyzed the genetics of the parent strains and correlated individual segments of the genetic code with certain plant qualities (e.g., terpenes). Then the breeders selected the sections of the genetic chains that could complement each other in the most beneficial way. And again, the neural network went to work, calculating a special order of crossbreeding between OG Kush and Hindu Kush, as well as between different generations of their offspring. Having obtained a clear sequence of actions, the Canadians set about their favorite business: cultivation, pollination, seed collection, and so on. Dozens of crossing cycles passed in this way.
The result is a stabilized variety with a spicy honey-lemon aroma, which is due to a combination of myrcene, caryophyllene, limonene, and pinene terpenes. The high resin content and favorable weight-to-height ratio make Auto OG Indica a serious contender for other autoflowers in the Cannabis Cup, and many collectors are already interested in this strain.

The seedlings took root well in various types of substrate and soil mixtures, with each plant allocated a 12-18 liter container in closed ground. Outdoors, 2-3 bushes were planted per m2. With air circulation, moderate regular watering, and acid-alkaline balance control, the bushes managed to strengthen in 2 weeks of vegetation, then the planting was partially subjected to ScroG training. Why partially? The breeders wanted to compare the final weight of trained and untrained individuals. Spoiler alert: without working on the structure, the standard “vertical” bushes weighed 30-45% less. Of course, stress techniques such as pruning and various types of breaking were not used on autoflowering plants, nor was transplanting. Vegetation lasted 4-5 weeks, forming strong, spreading plants with dense stems and strong shoots.
With the transition to flowering, the fruity aroma of the plants took on more lemon and pine notes. Marijuana Auto OG Indica continued to gain vegetative mass for about two weeks until the buds formed. Then, as if following the pattern of the finished inflorescence, the cannabis began to grow flowers along the entire length of the internodes. Within 4-5 weeks, the plants had already grown in volume. In hydroponic installations, the clusters were so massive that the result resembled corn cobs! As it ripened, the crop smelled aggressively: juniper, zest, and spicy musk tones. It showed excellent immunity to pests, stress, temperature changes, and especially to heat, since the genotype is almost entirely derived from high-altitude indica, accustomed to scarce resources and heat. Maturity in open ground occurred by mid-August.
