This rare and highly aromatic strain from the leading Dutch seed bank Mandala is a unique development, representing a stabilized version of the sativa landrace that grows in the Kingdom of Bhutan (bordering India and China). Bhutanese genetics are almost absent from the global market.
Mandala breeders managed to find a population with the characteristic “gray” coloration found in White Widow, White Russian, and other varieties, and after stabilization, White Bhutanese became quite popular among lovers of exotic varieties.
The female plants of this variety were very tall, but under the right conditions, they could adapt to indoor cultivation. The variety is not particularly fragrant; during flowering, the parent specimens produced a floral aroma with notes of anise and mint. The slender structure of the bushes and the elongated shape of the leaves and inflorescences clearly indicate the predominance of sativa genetics.
During the flowering period, which is quite long, the aroma takes on a sweetish tone. Closer to ripening, the cones appeared visually large, but due to their loose texture, the actual yield by weight was within the average range.
