Thai Sativa Mamma Thai is a unique strain because it is not a hybrid. Yes, it is pure landrace! The selective process carried out by Seedsman breeders consisted of selecting the most early-maturing specimens in order to shorten the flowering period as much as possible. The tropical origin of the strain is clearly evident in its fruity aroma and sweet-sour taste with a berry undertone, and the appearance of the mother plants was very exotic, resembling alien flowers unknown to science rather than cannabis. Mamma Thai is considered more of an option for aesthetes than for commercial purposes.
In appearance, the Mamma Thai mother plants fully corresponded to the standard appearance of Thai sativas: dark emerald green leaves, elongated “fingers” on the leaves, long and thin circles. During flowering, the color was quite contrasting: white fluffy inflorescences against a dark green background. The variety is not strongly scented; the mother plants emitted a delicate aroma of fruit chewing gum. During breeding, Mamma Tai acquired excellent immunity to insect parasites. In addition, the plants tolerated humid air well without suffering from fungal diseases. Maturity in open ground occurred in early to mid-November.
