Kabul x Purple marijuana seeds are a great example of how breeders try to combine the best of different cannabis strains. Although both parent varieties belong to purple strains, Kabul and Purple Thai are not genetically related: Kabul is a large-caliber Afghan landrace, densely saturated with pungent resin. As for Purple Thai, as the name suggests, this cannabis originates from Thailand and is characterized by its tall stature and long maturation period.
The Kabul x Purple hybrid combines the advantages and compensates for the disadvantages of both parents. The result is a medium-sized, hardy indica with a fairly short life cycle and a delicate grape aroma.
The mother plants clearly inherited their sturdy structure from Afghan Indica, quickly forming a solid root system during vegetation and then gradually growing a moderately dense crown—the branchy and spreading structure of the bushes made them a solid foundation for a future large harvest. The Kabul x Purple parent plants adapted with consistent success to conditions in closed or open ground (southern Europe), greenhouses and hotbeds, hydro- and aeroponic installations, substrates, and various types of soil mixtures. The moment of budding was accompanied by a burst of vegetative growth (the last stage of green mass accumulation) lasting 1-2 weeks, after which the parent specimens only increased in volume, densely overgrown with clusters of inflorescences.
At this stage, the aroma was strong and pungent—musky with a slight grape and candy undertone. Keep in mind that purple marijuana only acquires this color when exposed to low temperatures — in the last weeks of ripening, the plants that were exposed to lower air temperatures turned purple, crimson, and bluish — on the large Kabul x Purple circles, these colors looked regal!
