The Dutch seed bank Sensi Seeds developed Durban based on South African sativa, which is incredibly widespread in its homeland: although Durban is just one of South Africa’s largest port cities, this sativa is known to all locals for its recognizable appearance (a strong and large variety) and powerful stimulating properties.
The aroma of this sativa openly declares its exotic origins, teasing with fresh citrus and spicy anise notes. A particular achievement of Sensi Seeds is Durban’s adaptability to colder climates compared to Africa.
Breeders made every effort to move away from the standard appearance of sativa, so there were no thin, skinny individuals among the Durban mother plants. On the contrary, this strain is characterized by dense, larger-than-average buds and thick, dense stems! Tests on parent plants have revealed strong immunity to fungal diseases, as well as resistance to high temperatures – innate qualities of Durban, most likely enhanced during selection.
Its rich color and attractive ratio of inflorescences to leaves make Durban a high-quality, extraordinary variety that is particularly valued in its homeland for its reliability and productivity.
