Auto Ice Cool marijuana seeds are a sativa autoflowering cannabis strain produced in Spain with a minty, fruity aroma. Essentially, it is a remake of the American Diesel genetics, known for its pungent diesel fuel smell. The breeding is based on two strains: the legendary New York Diesel and an unnamed Indian Sativa. So, apart from India, the strain comes from native marijuana from Colombia, Thailand, and Mexico. Of course, between the landraces and their direct ancestors lies a long and ramified “family tree,” in which connoisseurs will confidently find the iconic genotypes Mass Super Skunk, Chemdawg, and Northern Lights.
High resin production, solid weight, and exotic aroma draw attention to this strain. The Ice Cool genotype took first place at the VII Copa Lanzarote 2007 and at the Argentine Copa del Mar — Mar del Plata festival in the Outer category in 2011. It also won silver in the Autoflowers category at the Spanish Expogrow 2015 exhibition. Between 2007 and 2013, this mint strain managed to collect 7 awards! Citrus overtones with a hint of peppermint, and pungent chemical undertones add a special sharpness to this range. All this is due to the high concentration and variety of terpenes, among which caryophyllene, limonene, guaiacol, and bisabolol predominate.
Auto Ice Cool marijuana
The flowers are medium-sized, rich green in color, with shiny trichomes and reddish stigmas. Highly active resin glands successfully protected the plants from insect pests and fungal infections.
The ruderal genetics made the tall sativa structure of Ice Cool more compact, with shorter internodal distances. The plants grew vigorously, forming a strong and large root system, thick stems, and a huge fan of leaves with long and thin fingers. Height was 85-100 cm, with rare specimens reaching 110 cm.
With the onset of flowering, the strawberry-herbal “standard” smell of cannabis was gradually enriched with fresh nuances: first pine needles, then, as the flower mass grew, a sharp menthol tone. The loose, brightly colored inflorescences, airy and fluffy, looked especially contrasting at the ripening stage (6-9 weeks of flowering). Generously sprinkled with crystals and fuzzy with trichomes, the tops of the plants looked like something from another planet!
The harvest period came 12 weeks after seed germination (1-2 weeks faster in hydroponics). Indoors, the final weight reached 400-500 g/m², outdoors up to 450 g per plant.

Can I plant them in July, or is it too late?
You can, but the plant will not grow as large because the light regime will change and the growing season will be shorter.
