Sometimes, before buying Cream Caramel Auto cannabis seeds at the 33 Stakana store, customers ask: did the marijuana from which these seeds were obtained really have a caramel aroma? Such a rare combination of terpenes is indeed worthy of a collector’s attention. However, if you look at the strain’s genealogy, you will understand that it includes almost half of the world-famous varieties, so the uniqueness of Auto Caramel is quite natural.
There are three parent strains in total, in order:
- Blue Black inherited genes from Northern Lights, Hash Plant, Blueberry, Purple Thai, and Ortega;
- Maple Leaf Indica gifted our hero with the eastern power of Mazar;
- White Rhino passed on the legacy of White Widow, as well as additional Afghan landrace.
It is impossible to describe in a few words how such a rich genetic bouquet has influenced the properties of one of the favorites of medical users in Europe, Cream Caramel Auto. But we will try to do so briefly! The richness of Afghan indica in the pedigree is responsible for the huge amount of resin, which made the sweet-smelling buds slightly resemble cannabis cookies during production. The terpene profile is dominated by myrcene, but a wide variety of other terpenes are present in small amounts, including cinnamaldehyde (most likely). Large, lush buds, a high overall rating among connoisseurs, and first prize in the Outdoor category at Spannabis in 2009. Sweet Seeds are awesome, as always!
During the production of these seeds, the mother plants proved to be highly stable, i.e., homogeneous material. In different environments (indoor vs. outdoor and greenhouses), only the height differed significantly—the appearance, growth rate, and overall vitality of the strain remained unchanged. In substrate and hydroponic installations, ripening occurred faster, but plants grown naturally had more pleasant aromatic qualities. The wide, spreading structure during training made the bushes look almost like ivy: vegetative growth occurred horizontally, increasing the final weight of the donor plants by 30-50%.
During flowering, there was a rapid increase in flower mass, which swelled like popcorn in an oven. The inflorescences formed dense clusters, spreading from the center to the top and ends of the side shoots. Optimizing the lighting and structure of the bushes made it possible to achieve multiple side buds, which differed little in weight from the central one — perhaps Caramel from Svit Seeds will make a name for itself in competitions. Stably withstanding the heat and protecting themselves from pests with a concentrated honey aroma, the plants rarely suffered from fungal diseases and mold. Closer to ripening, a lilac hue of the inflorescences, inherited from purple ancestors, could be seen.
