Named after the iconic musician Bob Marley, this strain was developed in Jamaica, and the breeders at Marley Seedbank conducted serious analysis to create it. So, on the one hand, a Jamaican landrace with a predominance of sativa was used, which is hardy and positive. The other parent is a particularly fragrant Cuban indica, which charmed breeders with its rich crystal sprinkles and exquisite aroma reminiscent of expensive rum or tequila. By stabilizing the offspring of these two varieties, Jamaicans obtained a surprisingly stable strain with a predominance of indica genes (approximately 35% sativa) and a rich, spicy aroma.
During seed production, Bob Auto mother plants proved to be undemanding and resilient, easily adapting to different types of soil and substrates and tolerating stress with almost no damage. During vegetation, a strong root system and a dense, short stem developed rapidly. Subsequently, the donor plants grew only in width, noticeably increasing in volume and mass with each passing day. Before flowering, there was a growth spurt – the last 20-30% of green mass grew rapidly in 1-2 weeks, and after showing their sex, the plants began to produce flower buds. From that moment on, the atmosphere around the bushes was gradually filled with spicy notes similar to oriental spices and dried fruits such as figs or dates – naturally, this beauty was generously diluted with the standard musky “stink” of marijuana.
During the 5-6 weeks of flowering, the parent specimens increased significantly in thickness, acquiring a pleasant resemblance to cauliflower – this is not sativa, the inflorescences and buds were massive and large, often bending the stem with their weight, and in terms of resin content, they could easily compete with many autoflowers of Afghan origin. As it matured, Bob Auto acquired a variegated palette of colors: in addition to various shades of green, there were reddish-yellow streaks, and copper hairs and shiny “frost” crystals on the tops completed the picture—it was a pity to cut each bush because of such beauty!
