This incredibly fragrant autoflowering strain was obtained by crossing two world-famous genotypes: Blueberry, a purple berry indica, and Diesel, a sativa hybrid with a pungent fuel aroma. Thus, Auto Blue Diesel’s pedigree combines genes from Mexican, Thai, and Afghan cannabis species.

Breeders worked to increase the stability of the new hybrid: according to their reports, the newcomer could easily cope with care. The mother plants of Auto Blue Diesel had a rather stocky and fertile structure, inherited from Blueberry and the Afghan ancestors of the Diesel genotype, and their luxurious exotic aroma (fruit plus a hint of fuel), as well as the slightly elongated shape of the leaves and inflorescences, are the result of their kinship with Mexican and Thai sativas.
When exposed to low temperatures, the bushes turned blue during the last weeks of flowering. In open ground, the mother plants ripened for harvest by early September.
