For many marijuana enthusiasts, the terms “Afghani” and “first-class Indica” mean the same thing—and indeed, a stone effect stronger than that of Afghani is extremely rare. The strain was bred based on the classic Afghani #1, whose genes are present in many popular crosses, such as Cheese x Afghani #1 and others.
A resinous and tall variety, Afghani is capable of generously rewarding the grower’s patience and attention. Earthy aroma, hashish-like. Belongs to the medical grade cannabis category.
Breeders managed to increase the size of these plants (an Indica height of almost two meters is unusual) for the sake of higher yields. According to the manufacturer’s reports, the strain developed equally successfully in closed and open ground, as well as in a hydroponic environment, with the only difference being in height – indoors, the plants reached about 1.0-1.4 m, while in open ground, their height reached 1.6-1.7 m.
As befits a native of mountainous terrain, the strain easily tolerated high temperatures and even droughts (but this did not contribute to productivity, of course). A distinctive feature of Afghan marijuana is its surprisingly sticky buds. Outdoors, the female plants reached maturity by the end of September.
